As a commercial service, architectural visualization usually leaves only limited room for artistic expression. Luong Thanh and his coworkers at Vietnamese studio NatrangDesign understand how to fully use the space available and produce astonishing designs that simultaneously defy and adhere to genre conventions. A 3D artist in an ever-fleeting world, Luong aims to create digital imagery that leave a lasting impression within mere seconds, never losing track of one of the most basic design principles: the human element.

We are happy to announce that 2018 sees the continuation of our 3D Artist of the Month competition. Alexandr Melentev kicks off the new year with a bang, as he leads us into a magical realm of winter fairy tales and diesel fueled machinery. His airborne ‘Hunter’s Village’ offers a fascinating glimpse into the artist’s ongoing effort of creating an original fantasy world based on Russian folklore. Rich in purposeful detail, the image exhibits a unique visual style dubbed “wooden punk” by Alexandr.

As the year draws to a close, we would once again like to shine a light on the charitable efforts of the CGI community. To raise awareness for children in armed conflicts, UNICEF Afghanistan produced ‘Courage of a Little Heart’, a touching animation based on a true story. With limited resources available, creative director Shaikh Danial gathered a team of talented artists from all over the globe. United in the cause to protect children from unlawful child recruitment, RebusFarm dedicates this month’s ArtWanted! Feature to the Pakistan all-rounder and joins him on his journey to make the world a better place.

During the most wonderful time of the year we won't forget about the children who are suffering from war and devastation all over the world.
To help those children we continue to support the 'Donations instead of gifts' campaign by UNICEF. Our contribution this year helps UNICEF to provide children like Ahmed in Syria with warm blankets, emergency tents and school materials.
UNICEF works in 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child. UNICEF has spent 70 years working to improve the lives of children and their families.
Maybe you'd like to donate something to an organization of your choice, too?
